Small answers to a large problem

With the ‘Bloody Tourists Toolkit’ Placemakers offers an alternative to large scale policy responses to the growing influx of tourists in the city of Amsterdam. During various editions of Benches Collective Placemakers tests small interventions to be collected in a toolkit, aimed at stressing commonalities among tourists and locals, at changing attitudes, stereotypes and behaviors, and at promoting meaningful interaction and reciprocity. Small, surprising and cheerful events can provide relief from this issue, especially when replicated and spread across the city. Read more about the various editions below.
