Do you have a general interest into what placemaking is and how you might implement it? After more than 9 years of working on inclusive and lively public spaces, we’re happy to share our experiences and understanding of placemaking.
In this lecture, we introduce the history, founding fathers and mothers of the movement, as well as some theoretical foundations. What are the general starting points, goals and benefits of the placemaking approach? We dive into how one actively invites the participation of a variety of local stakeholders, and outline the process in which we implement our projects, from location research to intervention and local transfer.
